Shave or not to shave

Summer is here! I mean here as much as it can be in London. However summer or not summer, hair removal is a must do in order to show those gorgeous legs.
Shaving, waxing, epilation, hair removal creams or laser hair removal? Which one to choose? All of these methods have their advantages and disadvantages.
Shaving is a quick method, can be done almost everywhere (in a hotel or in your boyfriend’s bathroom) and the result is smooth…for a day. But then there come the stubbles and no one really likes that.
Waxing is one of my preferred procedures in certain areas. It is quick, little bit painful but you can still survive and hair grows back slower and thinner. Some places also do sugar-waxing which supposed to be the least painful way of waxing. I have also heard about chocolate waxing for those who would like to smell of chocolate after a session.
Epilation is my favorite. It’s quick and it’s effective. And the more often you do it, the less painful it gets. I promise!
I’m not a big fan of hair removal creams. Tried them a couple of times and my main problem was that I didn’t know how to kill time while the cream was on. Running around the flat wearing knickers is not the best way to do when you have a four year old so I had to stick to reading a magazine in the bathroom while the four years old was banging on the door. Also I’ve never found the result perfect. Not to mention that it’s not for everyone as they can easily cause allergic reactions.
Laser hair removal UK is a very popular method. I’ve never tried it, however many deal websites are nowadays offering these IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments for quarter of the actual price. By damaging the growth zone of the hair roots using a particular wavelength and intensity of light, you can expect a long term hair- free life. However the tricky thing is that one session is not enough for a completely smooth skin. There has to be an average of six treatments for facial hair and in between 6-10 sessions for legs. So the final bill can be quite expensive and there is still no guarantee that the hair will never grow back. According to the experts it is quite necessary to have a touch up treatment in every 1-3 years. Although there are some laser hair removal home kits out there on the market that everyone could use at home, I wouldn’t recommend them. These kits can cause more harm, if they are not used in the right way. They can leave scars, burns and darker spots on the skin so I would say let’s just leave the specialists to do their magic.
