1) Nobody else will do it for you.
2) An idea is not an idea until it’s down on paper.

5) Writing with a pencil is therapeutic and you really feel like you’ve achieved something.
6) Don’t take all the criticism you get.
7) Take criticism. Don’t get angry about it, nobody is perfect.
If you feel like you can try harder then guess what? You can.
9) Looking at asics running shoes online will not help you to finish your novel.
10) Going out is great fun. So set yourself a goal: I will not leave this house until I have finished this chapter.
11) Stopping writing mid-way through a chapter is a great way to start off again when you’re ready. You’d be surprised at how much brain-power it saves, really!
12) Your ideas might not sound exciting to others, but that does not mean they are un-exciting.
13) Bad things can be used as inspiration, and they hold power.
14) If you wait until you’re in the mood to write, you’ll never even start, let alone finish.
15) If you have writer’s block, think less and relax and it’ll come.
16) To write you need to live. Locking yourself away with your book is fine for a while, but remember that everything derives from human experience.
17) Don’t take every piece of advice you get, even from this. You know what’s best for you, right?
